I’m a Network Engineer cum Photographer cum Angler. Working in front of the computer for hours and hours everyday, I find fishing a welcome relief from the virtual world. Be it fishing alone or with a company of good friends, casting from shore or in a bangka out at see, as long as I’m with a fishing rod and reel at hand, I’m in cloud nine.

I’m a Brit living in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao. I fished Siargao last April, good fishing, Dorado, Sailfish Wahoo etc..I have now bought a sport fishing boat which I keep up the coast in Balingasag towards Camiguin Island. I would like to know if you have any information regarding fishing in these areas ie types of fish, what time of year etc. I have seen the local boatman catching sailfish and marlin on handlines with live fish, but prefer to troll. Any info or ideas would be useful as all my experiences were in UK. Many Thanks Tony King
